Featuring the voices of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel, "Frozen" is the coolest comedy-adventure ever to hit the big screen. When a prophecy traps a kingdom in eternal winter, Anna, a fearless optimist, teams up with extreme mountain man Kristoff and his sidekick reindeer Sven on an epic journey to find Anna's sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and put an end to her icy spell. Encountering mystical trolls, a funny snowman named Olaf, Everest-like extremes and magic at every turn, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom from destruction.
The story is centered around two sisters Anna (Kristen Bell) and Elsa (Idina Menzel),wo aside been sisters were inseparable friends until Elsa zapped Anna accidentally while playing with her ability (the ability to turn anything into ice,and materialize ice out of thin air, even cause a snow storm). This incident led to the somehow wiping away of Anna's memory concerning anything that had to do with Elsa's power, so Elsa grew up in isolation because of the fear of the uncontrollable nature of her powers and Anna grew up alone without any memory of her sister's power, the two girls gradually grew apart.
This went on until their parents died at sea in a shipwreck, the girls remained locked up in the castle until they turn 18 and it was time for Elsa to be coronated as queen, the two girls then re-unite in a very awkward manner, One way or the other things go out of hand and Elsa losses control of her power and sets off an everlasting winter, she then run's away form the kingdom and goes to hide in a mountain (magically constructing a castle completely out of ice and transforms from Elsa the queen to Elsa the ice queen in a dazzling makeover). With none to run the affairs of the kingdom, Anna leaves the kingdom in search of her sister so that she could restore summer and stop the everlasting winter,on the way to find her sister she meets an ice seller named Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his sidekick reindeer Sven (), they also encounter a funny snowman Olaf (Josh Gad), (which so far is my favorite character).
Well left to me the movie is a good one, released on November 19 of 2013 (i just recently watched it) and it was directed by Jenifer lee and Chris buck, the wonderful musical throughout the whole movie was compose by Christopher beck. The movie had a lot of laughs, thankfully, the jokes consistently land, particularly those involving cheery, innocent snowman Olaf, and the snowy, icy animation is impeccable. The big songs are also appropriately stirring: Idina Menzel belts Let It Go like it insulted her mother and Gad’s In Summer is a cheery, comic ditty straight out of The Book Of Mormon’s playbook. There is even one plot turn that qualifies as radical in fairy tale terms and perhaps signals a more daring way to approach these films. Given how closely most of this entry resembles the beats and tone of Tangled, it feels like Disney Animation should take more such risks, to add more individual identity to the craft.
But overall it is a good movie that teaches a lot to the younger generation about the power of love and togetherness (i'm starting to sound like a preacher).
